Roadkill Dinner Designs

My new Roadkill Dinner design actually has quite the history. This design is the result of an actual event that happened when I was a child. We were going to visit my grandparents (who live on a ranch) when my Dad actually hit a wild turkey on the dirt road we were traveling on. It happened only about a mile from my Grandparent’s home. I remember my dad getting out of the car and looking at the turkey. He then threw it in the back of the station wagon and off we went. Ummm, then we had wild turkey for Thanksgiving dinner! I am not making this up. But, years later when I questioned my parents about it, they told me that Dad had only “clipped” the turkey and broke its neck. So they claim it wasn’t really “Roadkill”.

My Father has never lived that one down. We still give him a bad time about feeding us roadkill for Thanksgiving dinner. So, this one is for you Dad!
