National Sarcastic Month

OK, I have been remiss. I have been writing/updating a Squidoo lens (Party all year long) that I update on a weekly basis. And here it is, almost the end of October and I haven’t even written anything about National Sarcastic Month. The purpose of the lens is to highlight unusual celebrations. So, to make up for it I will write a bit about sarcasm.
Sarcasm takes a certain amount of intelligence. If you cannot make your very own sarcastic comments, you can still pass as having some ability by being able to recognize sarcasm by someone else. The key here is to be able to retain it in memory long enough to use it at a later time when that particular sarcastic remark would be relevant.
Sounds kind of egotistical, huh? Well, it is somewhat. But I love sarcasm! Even when I am the butt of their jokes. People who have a knack for sarcasm usually have something interesting to say.
If you truly enjoy sarcasm, check out the Sarcasm Society. I’m still not sure if this is an actual “society” but it is truly a great site. They even have a tutorial if you don’t know how to be sarcastic.
